Ideal Home Show with Dulux Heritage

It was a such a pleasure working in collaboration with Dulux Heritage at the ptsb Ideal Home Show last weekend in the RDS. I created a living room set with a ‘timeless design’ theme for the Dulux Heritage Interior Design Hub at the show using Dulux Heritage paints. Here I’m sharing what I used and where I sourced products for the set as so many people have had questions about it.

Paint Colour

I wanted to evoke a feeling of calmness and restfulness in the room, so I used a versatile warm neutral called Flax Seed from Dulux Heritage on the walls and woodwork. From speaking to visitors to the show, it seemed to be the neutral colour that so many people have been looking for but have failed to find. We used a velvet matt finish on the walls and eggshell on the woodwork.

Artwork

An absolute favourite Irish artist of mine, Jess Kelly took centre stage on the wall of the living room set with her mixed media canvas ‘Aurora’. As a total coincidence Jess used some Dulux Heritage colours in the painting too - Potters Pink, Dusted Heather and Wild Blackberry. Stunning!

Furniture

I have the wonderful people in Finline Furniture to thank for supplying me with lots of the furniture for the weekend. I went with their Solo Sofa in Origin Pyramid leather and their Alice armchair in Antwerp Blush fabric. I also used the Ottolong with storage from Finline in a Fortis Blush Pink fabric. Not forgetting my partner’s grandfather’s Parker Knoll armchair (it’s 70+ years old we think…), which was specially reupholstered for the weekend by Daniel Finnegan Design in a Sanderson Performance Bouclé fabric in colour Islay Chalk.

Lighting & Accessories

All the lights for the living room set were supplied by the lovely people in National Lighting. I had so many questions about the stunning ceiling pendant and the wall lights in particular. The ceiling pendant is the Endon Orta 9 light pendant, the wall lights are Endon Rennes & Cici, and the table lamps are the DAR Orris table lamp and the DAR Max table lamp.

Here’s a list of some of the accessory suppliers also:
