3. Colourtrend Arctic Blonde

A crisp, clean white with a touch of softness. Ever so slightly warmer than pure white and looks great in rooms of any aspect. It’s also a popular choice for skirting and architraves.

4. Fleetwood Studio White (Vogue Collection)

A clean, fresh and warm white. Studio White is a perfect contrast to many other colours. North facing rooms tend to get very little sun during the day, so are naturally darker. This colour is great in north facing rooms to warm up the shadows of the room.

8. Farrow & Ball Slipper Satin

Slipper Satin often comes across as a pale grey chalk which makes for a great neutral option on walls. In a bright south-facing room it may appear creamy in daylight, bringing additional warmth.

Remember the golden rule before you make your decision…get a sample pot and paint an area on the wall of approx. 1 square metre and see it in different lights over a few days. No matter what colour you choose, it will look different depending on the light during the day and what direction the room is facing.

You can also successfully layer whites in a room, especially if they are from the same family of colours.
